Winter Youth Conference
February 9-11, 2024

Winter Youth Conference is held each February at Camp Caraway in Asheboro, NC. All youth, ages 13 - 20, members and non-members, are welcome for a weekend of fellowship, leadership, service, and fun! This Conference is designed to teach youth about themselves, strengthen their character, develop leadership skills, work with a team, and think outside the box. They also learn how to make a difference in their communities.

The conference also includes interviews for our Youth Team and Ambassador applicants and the election of State Youth Officers.  We hold our state public speaking, sign-a-song, and Grange Jeopardy contests at this event, for which top winners travel to regionals in July for chance to compete at National Grange Convention held in November.

This fun, retreat is one that youth won’t want to miss! Make plans to join the fun and make lifelong friendships!

YOUTH & YOUNG ADULT CONTEST INFO!

Grange Camp
July 7-13, 2024

The State Grange believes in helping youth to become leaders. We strive to help them grow, learn, and believe in themselves all while having fun. Grange Camp is the most popular event for youth!

Every summer since 1940, the Grange has held camp and the tradition is still strong as ever.  Youth and Juniors, ages 5 and up, participate in camp adventures such as canoeing, swimming, kayaking, archery, a campfire and more. Various activities help build leadership, integrity, promote responsibility, and nurture team-building skills. There is also an opportunity to learn about the Grange and its history through Model Grange. In addition, we adopt a special community service project. On top of these camp activities, campers make new friends, visit with old ones, and make lifetime memories.  It is a life-changing week for our young Grangers!

Regional Youth Conference
TBD

The Regional Youth Conference is held each July in one of the states in the Southeast Region of the Grange.  The conference, for all ages, offers a weekend of fun, fellowship and educational activities with attendees from other states.  First place contest winners from each state compete in public speaking, sign-a-song and Grange Jeopardy for a chance to win Best in Show and compete at Nationals.

Youth Team Caravan
June TBD

Caravan is a week-long trip for the State Youth Leadership Team.  This team of youth leaders travels to Granges throughout the week to promote the Grange, promote our youth programs, and recruit new members.  It also gives the team leadership training, speaking skills, and team building opportunities.  This is a very educational week for the team, often with legislative and agricultural components.  The team also works hard to finalize plans for Grange Camp.

Any Grange interested in having the team give a presentation at your Grange during Caravan can contact State Youth Director Jennie Gentry.
