PlayWELL Park Opening

The NC Grange is proud to be a lead sponsor for the new PlayWELL Park and Playground at the Poe Center for Health Education Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.

2026 marks thiry-five years of operation for the Poe Center for Health Education in this location and they are celebrating with a new outdoor facility. This play area mimics the teachings of their indoor space with fun, hands-on reinforcement of the healthy living choices they learn about inside. From the climbing wall that relates to the food types you should consume, to learning about the different ways your systems connect inside your body... it's all there. The more than 30,000 children and adults who visit each year are surely to find this a wonderful addition. Big changes include "cells" that double as giant jungle gyms for climbing and a body system tree house where you can climb up the ribs or neuron-pathways to the top of the brain or heart.

Today, March 10, 2025 the staff of the Poe Center celebrated a ribbon cutting of the 1.6 million dollar renovation of their outdoor play space.
